Ye Olde Chimney Sweeps is a locally-owned and -operated company that has been serving the Connecticut shoreline, including Madison, Killingworth, and the surrounding areas, since 1974. We specialize in chimney cleanings, chimney repairs, chimney caps, and chimney liners, making the Connecticut coast safer one chimney at a time. We are proud to be a Better Business Bureau-accredited business. Being in business all these years (now 3 generations) has allowed us to provide what our customers have come to rely on in a chimney sweep; honest, guaranteed service.

About Our Owner

My name is Monte Gibbs, and I am the third-generation chimney sweep in my family. I have been doing chimney services and masonry since I was about 10 years old. I would tag along on jobs with my dad and grandfather, just so they could start teaching me this work early on.

I have taken multiple environmental science, business, and computer classes at MXCC. I started off wanting to do something in the environmental science field but then I ended up not liking it so much. Around this point is when my grandfather passed Ye Olde Chimney Sweeps down to me. Ever since then I've been building up the company and now being able to make a living off of it. I really enjoy working in this field.
